Mr. Hill was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Negaunee. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping and anything else that could be done outside. Above all, Butch cherished his time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Klein) Hill; a son, Ken (Lisa) Niemisto of Negaunee Township; two daughters, Tanya Hill of Green Bay and Wendy (Dave) Skewis of Negaunee; 12 grandchildren: DJ (Yvonne) Skewis, Jake (Annie) Skewis, Cara (Dan) Tuominen, Riley Skewis, Brady Skewis, Kelsey (Cody) Reyes, Lindsay Niemisto, Macy Niemisto, and Hailey, Seija, Ryne and Mila Juidici; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Danny (Heidi) Hill of Ishpeming; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Gignac and her children, Lisa, Bill & Leslie; and a great-granddaughter, Mia Rose Skewis.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 7th at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Negaunee, with Rev. Steven Solberg officiating. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 am until the start of services at 11:00 am at the church on Saturday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services in the church fellowship hall.

My deepest sympathies to Butchie’s family. Always enjoyed having coffee with Butchie & his Mom when I would visit my family in Negaunee.
