Obituary

William Carl ‘Bill’ Snyder, 63, of Saginaw St., Ishpeming, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, November 23, 2019 at UP Health System Marquette, with his loving family at his side.

Bill was born February 13, 1956 in Ishpeming to Robert ‘White Cloud’ and Violet (Lehtinen) Snyder, attended Negaunee Public Schools, and was a lifelong area resident. Bill was employed as a woodworker at Robbins’s Flooring Mill, held several positions for the City of Ishpeming, and most recently worked at Jasper Ridge Brewery.

Mr. Snyder was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors, taking rides in the woods, small game hunting, and fishing. He loved his family very much and enjoyed their time spent together.

Surviving are his sister, Renita ‘Rennie’ (Don) Scharmen of Kingsley, MI; special uncle and friend, Ron Lehtinen; and numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 30th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Ishpeming, with Rev. Ryan Ford officiating. Interment will be in the Gwinn Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to Mass at the church on Saturday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services in the church fellowship hall. Members of the Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.

Rennie - We were so saddened to hear of Bill's passing, we would run into him at MCMCF when we would visit Jeff's dad and we always had a good time talking to him (he used to work with Jeff)
Always in a good mood and had good stories to tell us from the past. You are in our thoughts and prayers
