Linda Kaye (Sylvester) Harwick, 59, of Snowberry Heights, passed away at her home Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Linda was born October 16, 1958 in Ishpeming to Joseph and Marjorie (Johnson) Sylvester and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1976. She attended Northern Michigan University where she studied nursing. Linda worked for several years at the Eastwood Nursing Center in Negaunee.

Ms. Harwick was a former member of Olive Branch Church, London, KY, and most recently loved to share her knowledge of the scripture with her friends and neighbors at Snowberry Heights.

Linda was very generous with her time. She was a missionary in Costa Rica, and was most recently a dedicated volunteer at Room at the Inn. She also volunteered on occasion for the Ore 2 Shore bike race. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, drawing and gardening.

Surviving are her 2 daughters, Marjorie (Peter) Marshall of Negaunee Township and Christina Bennett of Marquette; a son, Robert (Julie) Bennett of Negaunee Township; 4 grandchildren: Autumn and Andrew Laughlin and Bode and Evelyn Bennett; 2 brothers, Joseph and David (Sonmi) Sylvester; and 2 sisters, Kathleen (Michael) Airaudi, and her twin, Nancy (Brook) Smith; nieces, Sara and Angel Sylvester; and nephews: Michael, Mark and Daniel Airaudi and Randy Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Zachary Davis.

Honoring Linda’s wishes, private family services will be held.
