My favorite professor

I attended NMU from '98 to '02, and no other professor had a bigger impact on me in my early development of my career than John Anderton.  I really drifted from my alma mater to have found about his passing exactly one year later.  Even though I live in California now, his love of the natural and human history of Upper Michigan was very contagious at the time.  I never expected someone like John to leave this world so soon, considering how physically active and young he was.
