Mary C. Gervae, 95, of Oak St., Negaunee, passed away peacefully on Monday afternoon, October 30, 2017 at the Eastwood Nursing Center where she had resided for the past two weeks.

Mary was born April 18, 1922 in North Lake to Nikolai and Amalia (Peltoniemi) Linna, grew up in Iron River and graduated from Iron River High School, Class of 1940. She was a devoted and loving homemaker.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Anthony ‘Sonny’) Guizzetti of Negaunee; Dr. Steven Gervae of Ontonagon; five grandchildren: Nick, Gina and Daniel (Kori) Gervae; Mari Guizzetti and Marlo (Chad) Manley; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Martha Heikkinen of Washington; and two nieces, Brenda and Beth.

Honoring Mary’s wishes, no public services will be held. Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery.
