Becky Lynn (Couture) Bossert, 63, of Croix St., Negaunee, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at UP Health System Bell.
Becky was born March 16, 1952 in Ishpeming to Donald and Doris (Richards) Couture, and was a graduate of Negaunee High School, Class of 1970. She was the proud owner of Becky’s Books in Ishpeming before moving to Florida. She returned home to Negaunee this past spring.
Becky was a very free spirited soul, and had a passion for reading. She loved to have educated conversations about history and politics. She took great pride in her appearance, and loved to get dressed up.
She is survived by her loving husband of 20 yrs., Tyrone L. Bossert of Negaunee; step-children: Brad (Stacy) Bossert, Tricia (Earl) Mann, Tim Bossert, and Brenda Seher; 8 step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; brother, Scott (Karen) Couture of Ishpeming; nieces, Megan & Paige Couture; nephews: Ethan Couture & Todd (Jenn) Couture and their daughter Mika; and her beloved cat, Belle. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Natalie; brother, Todd Couture; and sister, Natalie Couture.
Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, December 4th at Mitchell United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Mater officiating. Interment will be in Northland Chapel Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00pm at the church on Friday, and also a dinner immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed in Becky’s memory to Bay Cliff Health Camp – Sports Training Camp, P.O.Box 310, Big Bay, MI, 49808.
