Patsy Jo White, 70, of 440 Junction St., Ishpeming, passed away peacefully at home at 11:20 am on Monday, August 10, 2015 in the loving care of her family and U.P. Home Health and Hospice.
Patsy was born March 9, 1945 in Ontonagon to Matt and Nellie (Doverspike) Utter and graduated from Ontonagon High School, Class of 1963. She met Robert White of Ishpeming while he was working at the White Pine Mine, and they were married on June 26, 1965 and moved to Ishpeming.
Mrs. White was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Ishpeming. In her free time she enjoyed knitting and pitching horseshoes. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family; cooking for everyone and spoiling her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Jill (Scott) Gibson of Negaunee; son, Bruce White of Ishpeming; grandchildren: Cassie White, Jace and Kyra Gibson; sister, Jeannette (John) Marley of Ontonagon; brother, Mike (Mary) Utter of Ontonagon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert in 2010; and 3 sisters: Helen Aho, Karen Rogers and Geri Trainer.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 13th with Rev. John Voss officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon at the funeral home on Thursday. Interment will take place in the Ishpeming Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald and Neoma Korpi, and Clarence Nyman.
