From the first day I stepped on the bus for kindergarten to this day Nob has been one of the most influential men in my life. From closing our eyes and putting "the wings" out on the bus on the tickle belly hill to stepping on the bus and seeing your picture posted above him with all the other students he always made every kid feel special and dropped every kid off at school with a smile on their faces. The countless hours he put into teaching children the importance of fire prevention, the many years of being a member of the Fire Department, coaching Little League, taking countless pictures of local sporting events and later showing his pride for Negaunee by telling the history of the city we have lost a true legend. My condolences go out to his family. There will never be another "Nob" Rogers and I am lucky to have known him. Rest in peace. "Smiley" Ball
