Obituary for MARILYN CAROL TASSON (Eman)

Marilyn Carol Tasson, 79, longtime Ishpeming resident, passed away Sunday evening, November 6, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Marilyn was born February 14, 1943 in Ishpeming to Robert W. and Mary Ruth (Lloyd) Eman, and graduated from Ishpeming High School. She was a cosmetologist before working as a computer machinist specialist for many years for Knowles Electronics in Elgin, IL, who specialized in manufacturing hearing aids.

In her spare time, she enjoyed road trips to visit family and friends, playing BINGO, being outdoors, fishing, and being at camp.

Surviving are her daughter, Tamara K. (Ronald) Griffith of Harvard, IL; her son, Joseph R. Radtke; her grandson, Anthony J. Weimer of East Greeville, PA; granddaughters, Candice J. (Nathan) O’Donovan of Virginia Beach, VA and Brandy R. (Rob) Evans of Maricopa, AZ; other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brothers: John (Janice) Eman, William ‘Bill’ (Dee) Eman and Patrick ‘Pat’ Eman; sisters: Annette Foltz, Memory (Joseph) Snell, Mary Wick, and Deborah (Mark) Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is also survived by her loving companion and friend for the last years of her life, Ben Thexton of Ishpeming; and his son William ‘Billy’ (Kristi) Thexton and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald J. ‘Bingo’ Tasson in 2018; and her brothers, Robert Michael ‘Mike’ Eman and Frederick ‘Fred’ Eman.

Honoring Marilyn’s wishes, no public services will be held. Interment will be in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
