Obituary for WILLIAM G. PALM
William G. Palm, 85, of Skandia and former Negaunee resident, passed away Saturday morning, August 27, 2022 at UP Health System Marquette.
Bill was born December 28, 1936 in Marquette to Gullick and Amey (Gautsch) Palm, graduated from Marquette High School, and was a lifelong area resident. He started working at the family owned Palm Bottle Gas in Negaunee, and then managed Northern Propane in Negaunee following the sale of Palm Bottle Gas. He was also the co-owner of PAL Datsun in Marquette, and also co-owned Honda of Marquette with his son, Steve, from which he retired in 1999.
In his spare time, Bill loved being on his farm, raising beef cattle and horses. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his two sons, Steve (Bonnie Hoff) Palm of Skandia and James Palm of Marquette; former daughter-in-law, Debra Palm; five grandchildren: Amy Beauchamp, and Michael, Ryan, Mark and Danielle Palm; and two great-grandchildren, Lexington Palm and Knox Kevern-Palm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Judith on April 29, 2022; a son, Richard Palm; daughter-in-law, Candace Palm; his brother, Milo Palm; and three sisters: Honey, Patricia and Jeannie.
Honoring Bill’s wishes, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Bill’s memory to a charity of choice.
