Linda Elizabeth Mattice, 63, of Negaunee, passed away at home Thursday evening, July 28, 2022 with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born July 5, 1959 in Detroit to Harry Hunter and Jeanette Edna Emma (Harm) Mattice and graduated from East Detroit High School, Class of 1977. Following graduation, she was employed as a secretary at US Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan before moving to the Upper Peninsula.
Linda met James Saari and together raised their son, Wade, in Negaunee. She loved being outdoors, starting at a young age when her family would spend time at the cottage on Little Long Lake. More than anything, Linda loved spending time with her family and many beloved dogs.
Surviving are her loving companion, James Saari; son, Wade Saari of Negaunee; sister, Diane Mattice of Negaunee; two brothers: David (Carol) Mattice of Citrus Springs, FL and Ronald (Susan) Mattice of East Point; her beloved dog, Shane; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and many dogs: Judy, Hunter, Bubbles, Edgar and Shiloh.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 3rd at Koskey Funeral Home with Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating. Following services, burial will take place in Northland Chapel Gardens prior to a luncheon reception being held at the Negaunee Township Hall.
