Obituary for ANGELA T. KIVELA (Dobbs)
Angela Threase ‘Angie’ Kivela, 66, longtime Negaunee resident, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, February 10, 2022 at Mission Point of Ishpeming Health and Rehab Center, under the care of UP Home Health & Hospice.
Angie was born March 23, 1955 in Marquette to V. Paul and M. Mary (DeRoche) Dobbs, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1973 and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Kivela was a former member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee. In her spare time, she was an avid NASCAR fan, rarely missing watching a race with her son. In her younger years she loved traveling, including yearly camping trips to Isle Royale.
Surviving are her two brothers, Larry and Joe Dobbs; her niece, Cheryl (Daniel) Beltz; nephew, Dale (Cassie) Herman and their children Domenica and Anthony; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Roger Doucette; and her sister, Colette Herman.
