Kristie Corinne Aho, 69, of Palmer, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 7, 2021 while doing what she loved, walking with her beloved dog, Millie.
Kristie was born February 1, 1952 in Marquette to George and June (Rogers) Dale, grew up in Deerton and attended Munising Schools. She was united in marriage to Charles ‘Chuck’ Aho on October 31, 1970 in Palmer where together they raised their three children.
Kristie was a loving and devoted homemaker. Her family was most important to her, especially spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She loved attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. Kristie was a wonderful cook and baker, enjoyed her walks in the Palmer Park and the woods, and taking side by side rides.
Surviving are her loving husband of 51 years, Chuck Aho; her daughter, Crystal (Scott) Carter of Negaunee; two sons, Bud (Shelly) and Mitch (Bonnie) Aho, both of Negaunee; seven grandchildren: Dalton (Rachel Jenks), Derek and Daryn Carter, Brock and Maci Aho, and Ellie and Willow Aho; eight sisters: Joyce Swanson, Teresa (Charlie) Hough, Kay (Gary) Sims, Penny (Ray) Carrol, Paulette Cloud, Debbie (Kevin) Gotter, Shelly Dale and Patty (Jim) Sims; four brothers: Steven (Becky), John (Patty), Roger (Sherry) and Danny (Grace) Dale; sisters-in-law: Chris Harju, Dawn Aho and Sharon Dale; brothers-in-law, Gaylord Aho, Pete Ritari and Dennis Glasser; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Tina Ritari and Linda Glasser; brothers: Melvin Dale, Donald Dale and Victor Rushford; her in-laws, Walter (Gladys) Aho, Sr.; and brothers-in-law, Don Harju and Walter Aho, Jr.
