Obituary for DENISE D. SELL
Denise D. Sell, 52, of 173 E. County Road, Negaunee, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday evening, January 6, 2021 under the care of her loving family and UP Home Health & Hospice.
Denise was born July 30, 1968 in Ironwood to Donald and Donna (Wilcox) Plonsky and graduated from the Wakefield-Marinesco Public School District. She married Gary L. Sell of Wakefield on June 5, 1993 and together they raised their three children in Negaunee. Denise earned her CENA associate’s degree from University of Phoenix and worked as a CENA at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility. She also worked as supervisor at Kohl’s in Marquette and most recently worked as a clerk at Buck’s Party Store in Negaunee.
Mrs. Sell was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, Ishpeming. In her spare time, she loved camping with her family and was also an avid crafter, especially enjoying cross-stitch, diamond painting and latch hooking. She loved the beauty of lighthouses and enjoyed visiting them and collecting lighthouse memorabilia.
Surviving are her loving husband, Gary Sell of Negaunee; her daughter, Danielle (Curtis) Clement of Palmer; two sons, Brandon and Justin Sell both of Negaunee; two sisters, Dawn (Scott) Johnson and Debbie (Eric) Hogsett; her brother, Donald (Chyanne) Plonsky; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 30th at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Ishpeming, with Rev. DJ Thomsen officiating. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
