Diane Rose Filizetti, 69, of N. Ash St., Gwinn, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, November 12, 2020 at her home with her loving family at her side and under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.

Diane was born January 13, 1951 in Ishpeming to Raymond ‘Dick’ and Merle (Masse) Juidici, grew up in Gwinn and graduated from Gwinn High School, Class of 1969. She married Alan J. Filizetti on February 28, 1970 and together they raised four children in the Iron Mountain area. They returned to Gwinn following her husband’s retirement in 2008. Diane was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family.

Diane was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Gwinn and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, loved to cook and enjoyed being at the family camp on Charley Lakes. Above all she cherished her time with her grandchildren, especially crafting and making art.

Surviving are her loving husband, Alan Filizetti; her daughter, Shannon (David) Antonini of Englewood, FL; three sons: Andrew (Tara) Filizetti of Englewood, FL, Danny (Nicole) Filizetti of Minoqua, WI and Michael (Kristina) Filizetti of Puyallup, WA; nine grandchildren: Nick, Nolan, Courtney (Justin), Micah, Primo, Gale, Trenton, Ayden and Maclin; two sisters, Irene (Bob) Grage and Coleen (Tom) Boote; brother, Louis (Sherry) Juidici; brother-in-law, Gary Vallier; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Rita Vallier.

Private family services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Allen Mott officiating. Burial will be in the Gwinn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Diane’s memory to Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice.

Diane was the kindest funniest and most loving person I ever met.
She always made others seem important.
Tho her and I had good cries together I always came out the winner because her heart knew no bounds
