Oh, Mr. Ruesing. I just could never get used to calling you Fran. My most recent memory of you is when my mom and I went to your log home On 581 to teach you how to make venison potato sausage. I think it was early December. You had all possible implements readied and many pounds of potatoes & onions peeled. It was a lot of work but we had a fun time. Tons of tools and dishes to clean up afterwards too. To top off the day, of course we had to taste-test the sausage and we accompanied it with a glass of spirits. You were such a gracious host. You were also my very favorite teacher at National Mine. You were loved by many and will never be forgotten. You touched many lives in a positive way.

I will miss you dearly. You helped inspire me to be the outdoorsman than I am. I'm planting this tree in your honor as I knew you loved the outdoors..
