Obituary for MICHAEL JOSEPH SVEC
Michael Joseph Svec, 57, of Negaunee Township, passed away peacefully at home early Tuesday morning, February 11, 2020 in the care of his loving wife and Lake Superior Hospice.
Mike was born March 27, 1962 in Leyden Township, Chicago area, to Frank and Lydia ‘Betty’ (Rousse) Svec and graduated from Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL, Class of 1980. Following graduation, he earned his accounting degree from Northern Illinois University prior to beginning his career with WEA International, the international copyright holder and distributor for North American artists on the Warner Music record labels.
Following retirement 15 years ago, Mike and his wife moved to the Negaunee area from Villa Park.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Carol (Vann) Svec; several cousins, special friends, and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Rosie. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held.
