Obituary for SHARON MARIE LARSON
Sharon Marie Larson, 62, of Ishpeming, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, January 7 2020 at UP Health System Bell with her loving family by her side.
Sharon was born August 13, 1957 in Marquette to Louis Joseph and Mary Ann (Kangas) Swenor and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1975. She married Steven Roy Larson on December 18, 1981 and together they raised three children. She was a loving and devoted homemaker.
In her free time, Sharon enjoyed gardening and flowers, watching humming birds, coffee with her friends and daughter Stephanie, long conversations with her son Eli and visiting with her grandsons and she loved watching Gunsmoke. She enjoyed hearing the adventures of her daughter Amber and son-in-law Andrew and enjoyed listening to music while cleaning, especially Tom Petty. Helping people and taking care of others truly made her happy. She was the rock of the family and a mother figure to many.
Surviving are her children: Eli Larson of Cadillac, Stephanie Larson of Ishpeming, Amber (Andrew) Harmala of Cedar City, Utah; grandsons Thomas and Talan and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Steven in 1999; an infant son Steven Jr and three brothers: Thomas, Michael and Steven “Squeaker” Swenor.
Honoring Sharon’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held. Interment will take place at Bakkala Cemetery.
