Frank Paul ‘Frankie’ Raisanen, 66, of Co. Rd. 565, Richmond Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 20, 2019 at the Trillium House, Marquette under the care of UP Home Health & Hospice.
Frankie was born June 30, 1952 in Ishpeming to Karl and Hilja (Hyvonen) Raisanen, attended Negaunee Schools and was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Raisanen served honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. Following his service to his country, he worked several years as a self-employed carpenter.
In his spare time, Frankie loved being outdoors hunting and fishing, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling, and tinkering in his workshop.
Surviving are his fiancé of 37 years, Shirley Aho; a daughter, Brook Raisanen; grandson, Frank Raisanen Ogea; a brother, Carl Raisanen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Leslie and Theodore Raisanen.
Honoring Frank’s wishes, no public services will be held.
