Timothy Raymond Roth, 58, of Wabash St., Ishpeming, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 1, 2018 at UP Health System Marquette.

Tim was born February 24, 1960 in Bay City, Michigan to Raymond Lloyd and Elaine Ann (Poirier) Roth and graduated from Garber High School in Essexville. He married the late Lisa (Keranen) on November 19, 1983 in Yale, Michigan and they moved to Ishpeming in 1984.

Mr. Roth was employed as a corrections officer at the Marquette Branch Prison. He was an active member of both the Negaunee Elks and the Negaunee Rod and Gun Club.

Surviving are his mother, Elaine Roth of Essexville; brother, Chris (Vivian) Roth also of Essexville; sister, Cindy Tippman of White Pigeon; sister-in-law, Jill Roth of Indiana; three very special friends: Kallie Bell and Jeff and Jamie Solka; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife Lisa Roth in 2015; and his brother, Randy Roth in 2017.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, August 23rd at Koskey Funeral Home. A luncheon will be held immediately following at the Negaunee Elks Lodge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Tim’s memory to UPAWS or the Negaunee Elks Lodge.
