Bruce Arno Hill, 75, of County Road 565, Richmond Township, passed away Friday evening, June 22, 2018 at UP Health System Marquette.

Bruce was born May 31, 1943 in Ishpeming to Arnold and Sylvia (Laituri) Hill, attended Negaunee High School and was a lifelong Suomi Location and Richmond Township resident. He was united in marriage to Dyane Wendt on May 31, 1969 and together they raised two children.

Bruce was employed by Cleveland Cliffs for many years. He began working underground at the Mather ‘B’ before transferring to the Empire Mine and then finally retiring From the Tilden Mine as a heavy equipment operator. In his free time, Bruce enjoyed mechanics and being outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping and four wheeling. Most of all, he cherished his time spent with his beloved granddaughter, Rivka.

Surviving are his wife, Dyane Hill; daughter, Kelly Hill of Richmond Township; son, William (Michelle) Hill of South Dakota; four grandchildren: Rivka Hill, and Sierra, Brett (Ashley) and Tyler Hill; one great-grandson, Braxton Hill; his brother, Gary Hill of Negaunee; his sister, Sharon (Joe) Schmuck of Midway Location; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, June Lamb.
