William Richard ‘Bill’ Miljour, 63, of Sandy Dr., Negaunee, passed away Monday morning, June 11, 2018 at UP Health System Marquette after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Bill was born November 4, 1954 in Marquette to Robert J. and Josephine J. (Merrill) Miljour, grew up in Suomi Location and graduated from Negaunee High School. Bill played at many area wedding receptions in the local band, ‘Night Shift.’ Friday date night and big beers at the 41 Steakhouse (now Jerzi’s) was always looked forward to. Bill was witty, had a great sense of humor and a gentle soul, and will be dearly missed. He was proud to be an organ donor for the Gift of Life.

Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years, Janine M. Miljour; two daughters, Megan Miljour and Emily (Jason) Stanaway, both of Negaunee; his beloved granddaughter, Josie Smith, whom he adored; sister, Norine (Dennis) Lucy of Maryland; brother-in-law, Chet Sermak of Ann Arbor; niece, Nicole Bittman; and nephew, John Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Bonnie Miljour.
