Blanche Lorraine Kurian, 76, of Iron St., Ishpeming, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, May 6, 2018 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility with her loving family at her side.

Blanche was born August 11, 1941 in Marquette to Leo and Miriam (Savala) Doucette, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1959 and was a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are her sons, Daniel (Carol) Kurian of Ishpeming and Daryl (Robyn) Kurian of Virgina, MN; a daughter, Brenda (Michael) Harnett of Ishpeming; 5 grandchildren: Chad (Krystin Deneen), Chad & Alex Kurian, Jon Harnett, Gina (Benjamin) Kivela and Brooke (Chris) Boles; 3 great-grandchildren: Ella Kurian and Berkley and Willa Boles; a brother, Donald Doucette; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Earl Johnson; former husband, George P. Kurian; and brothers, Marvin and Robert Doucette.

Honoring Blanche’s wishes, no public services will be held.
