Harriet A. Anderson, 93, formerly of 98 Croix St., Negaunee, entered eternal life early Saturday morning, December 30, 2017 at the Eastwood Nursing Center.

Harriet was born September 13, 1924 in Ishpeming to William and Marie (Cuttum) Richards, attended Ishpeming High School and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Mitchell United Methodist Church. Aside from being a devoted homemaker, she was employed as a bus driver for the Head Start Program. In her free time, Harriet enjoyed spending time outdoors, and especially loved trout fishing.

Surviving are her son, Gregg (Louise) Anderson of Ishpeming; grandchildren: Jesse and Jaime Anderson, both of Ishpeming; a special niece, Colleen Richards; along with numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl ‘Cully’ Anderson in 1990; an infant granddaughter, Holly Anderson; three brothers: Harvey, Tom and Ray Richards; and her sister, Doris Couture.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 5th at Mitchell United Methodist Church with Rev. J. Albert Barchue officiating. Interment will take place in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to services at the church on Friday, and also at a luncheon in the church hall immediately following.
