Condolence: Dear Sutherland family,

Thank you for sharing your father! Pastor was a great person who always made time for all! I enjoyed him during his time at Eden and his ability to make all feel welcome and comfortable at church. I also enjoyed seeing and talking with him at sporting events. The Celtics #1 fan! I'm sure he is talking basketball with Red Auerbach and others. He will be missed, he was a great man!

Condolence: Dear Sutherland Kids,
My deepest sympathies on the loss of your dad. What a nice man. He was so great as pastor of Eden! I was so pleased at the help he gave me in playing the service music. I will always remember him telling me that the music position was posted for the Mun. Elem. School. He told me to apply and if I didn't he would apply for me. I guess I was showing my need to get out of the regular classroom. Again, not only is this a loss of your dad but a loss of a fine and kind person, as was your mom. I am grateful for his friendship.

Condolence From: The Rev. Dr. K. L. Peterson
Condolence: To Bob Sutherland's family: I first knew Bob at Augustana College, and then later he was a classmate at Augustana Seminary, being ordained together in 1959. While a pastor in Chicago, our family visited you in Wisconsin and had dinner with you - don't know if any of you remember that. We certainly heard from each other at Christmas, and in more recent years, spoke to each other by telephone. Peace to his memory! We will make a donation in his memory to the Augustana Scholarship Fund at the Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon. Ken and Margareth Peterson, Saskatoon, Sask.
