Margaret G. Gobert, 88, of W. Iron St., Gwinn, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2017 at UP Health System Marquette.
Margaret was born September 4, 1928 in Princeton to John and Pauline (Romeli) Mai, graduated from Gwinn High School, Class of 1946 and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a meat wrapper at Mussato’s IGA for 35yrs., retiring in 1990.
Mrs. Gobert was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Gwinn. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and going for walks.
Surviving are her sister, Antoinette (David) Fairbanks of Fountain Hills, AZ; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Gobert in 1974; and a sister, Mary Ann Harahus.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1st at Koskey Funeral Home, with Rev. Allen Mott officiating. Interment will be in the Gwinn Cemetery.
