Gary Alan Babcock, 55, of Hoist Rd., Negaunee Township, entered eternal life Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his home.
Gary was born August 14, 1961 in Ishpeming to Charles and Gloria (Saari) Babcock, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of ’79 and was a lifelong area resident. He worked in maintenance at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, retiring in 2016 with 36 yrs. of service with the facility.
Mr. Babcock was a member of the Charlie Lakes Campers Association. Gary was also a member of Red Fox Run Golf Club, and was proud to have shot a hole-in-one at Gentz’s Homestead Golf Course. Gary loved being at camp, and enjoyed getting together with his friends for weekly saunas. He was proud to take two trips to Arizona with his sister to surprise his parents and could also say he was one of few people to successfully climb Superstition Mountain while in Arizona.
