Margaret Louise Delarye, 71, of Carlson Rd., Negaunee Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017 at UP Health System Marquette.
Margaret was born July 5, 1945 in Washburn, WI to Frank and Anne (Michaelowski) Lukasiewicz, graduated from Washburn High School and moved to the Negaunee area shortly after. She was a devoted homemaker to her two sons, and also worked as a nurse’s aide at the Norlite Nursing Center for nearly 15 years.
Mrs. Delarye was very loving and caring to her family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, knitting afghans, and took great pride in taking care of her home.
Surviving are her son, Francis Johnson of Ishpeming; brother, Rev. Frank (Lois) Lukasiewicz of River Falls, WI; sister, Janet (Morris) Lewis of Dearborn, MI, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Delarye on November 17, 1997; a son, Myron Johnson, Jr.; her first husband, Myron Johnson; and a sister, Phyllis Bush.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 16th at Koskey Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Lukasiewicz officiating. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home on Thursday.
