Rita Mary Bobula, 70, of Big Shag Lake, Gwinn, passed away suddenly Monday evening, June 27, 2016 at UP Health System in Marquette.
Rita was born September 4, 1945 in Marquette to Owen Elmer and Ida Mary Janet (Temple) Lindquist and graduated from Ishpeming High School, Class of 1963. She was employed as an office manager for Fabco for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. She married M. Dennis Bobula on July 12, 1980.
Rita was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was very kind and generous, and was a proud donor to the Gift of Life. She had a smile for everyone and a contagious laugh. Rita enjoyed spending time on Big Shag Lake, and loved being with family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren. She and her husband enjoyed many winters together in Arizona and Florida.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, M. Dennis Bobula; her daughter, GiGi (Randy) Kangas of Ishpeming; her son, Heath (Mari Harmala) Beauchamp of Ishpeming; three grandchildren: Adrienne and Zachary Suardini, and Ashleigh Beauchamp; her sister, Janet (Louis) Pesta of Lakeland, FL; and her nephew, Douglas Johnson of Ann Arbor. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 1st at Koskey Funeral Home with Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:30 am until the time of services at noon at the funeral home on Friday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services at the Red Rock Banquet Center in Ishpeming. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Rita’s memory to the Gwinn Lions Club, 872 W. Tapola Rd., Gwinn, MI 49841.
