RUSSELL JOHN  GRANROTH

Negaunee Township
Russell John Granroth, 76, of Horseshoe Lake Circle, Negaunee Township, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, May 29, 2016 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where he had resided since July of 2012.
Russell was born January 30, 1940 in Adams Township, MI to Russell and Toini (Kangas) Granroth, and graduated from Doelle High School, Class of 1958. He was employed as a Technician for UPPCO from 1963 until 1997, and then for WE Energies until he retired in 2000.
Mr. Granroth was a member of Mitchell United Methodist Church, Negaunee and was also a member of the NRA. In his spare time he enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, and watching auto racing and hockey on TV.
Surviving are his loving wife of 55 yrs., Barbara K. (Wilkinson) Granroth of Negaunee Township; 3 daughters: Tammy (Tom) Windisch of Plantation, FL, Connie Jo Granroth Eardley of Madison Heights, MI and Pam (John) Beck of Viera, FL; mother, Toini Granroth of Hancock; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; son-in-law, Andrew Larson of Skandia; 2 sisters, Joyce (Carl) Swanger of DeLeon Springs, FL and Carol (Jim) Clem of Jackson, MI; 3 brothers: Rodney (Faye) Granroth of Hancock, Erwin Granroth of Hubbell and Charles (Joanne) Granroth of Salem, OR; and brother-in-law, Ray Wilkinson of Chassell. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell C. Granroth; daughter, Peggy Sue Larson; brother, Bert Granroth; and sister, Paula Granroth.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 4th at Mitchell United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Mater officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends for one hour prior to services and also at a luncheon in the church hall immediately following the service.
