Ruth Eileen Campbell-Richardson, 85, formerly of Kirkpatrick St., Palmer, passed away peacefully Friday night, May 22, 2015 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility with her loving family at her side.
Eileen was born December 12, 1929 in Clare to Omar A. and Ruth B. (Gay) Parent and graduated from Clare High School, Class of 1947. She was employed as a secretary for the State of Michigan in the insurance industry and also worked as a seamstress. Due to health reasons, Eileen moved from Blanchard, MI to Palmer in 2008 to live with her daughter.
Eileen was a member of the Daughters of Rebekah. In her free times she enjoyed gardening, sewing and knitting, reading, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Daniel (Debbie) Campbell of Germantown, WI; 2 daughters: Terri (Michael) Marta of Palmer and Kelly Campbell of Madison; 4 grandchildren: Aaron and Joel (Miranda) Campbell, James (Karen) Marta and Brandi (Joe Ellis) Johnson; 3 great-grandchildren: Logan, Alec and Chloe Johnson; her brother, George (Fern) Parent of Cincinnati; 2 step-daughters: Lisa and Lori; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by parents; her husband, Clayton Richardson; a sister, Martha Ann (Joseph) Harmon; and a step-son, Clayton Richardson, Jr.
Honoring Eileen’s wishes, no public services will be held. Interment will take place in Bakkala Cemetery. The family extends a special thank you to the caregivers at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility for their compassionate care over the past year.
