Lillian M. Cardone, age 98, longtime Negaunee and Ishpeming resident, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in the loving care of nursing home staff with her special niece and husband, Lynne and Mark Sundblad, by her side.

Lillian was born on February 14, 1920 in Ishpeming to Domenic and Hilda (Datson) Cardone, and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1937.

Lillian was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church of Ishpeming.

Lil is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Geraldine Chard and Gloria Thompson, and brother Ronald Cardone.

Honoring Lillian’s wishes, private graveside services will be held in the spring.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to Dr. Carlson and Dr. Houseman, the staff of the MCMCF, especially those of the 300 wing who took such wonderful care of Lillian.
