Obituary for PAULETTE JEAN FRAME

Paulette Jean Frame, 74, of Harvey, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, November 23, 2018 at UP Health System – Marquette in the care of her loving family.

Paulette was born October 3, 1944 in Ishpeming to William and Dagny (Carlstrom) Nicholas and graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1962. She was employed at Marquette General Hospital prior to her son becoming injured. Paulette was also an entrepreneur, starting Forever Flowers, a silk flower business; Tots-N-Tykes, a children’s resale clothing store; and Hearth & Home, a wood craft business.

Most importantly, Paulette was a devoted wife and caregiver, dedicating her life to caring for her son following a traumatic accident and later for her husband who was diagnosed with ALS. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, reading, games and an “occasional” trip to the casino.

Surviving are her daughter, Lisa (Scott) Mills of Palmer; son, Jamie Frame of Harvey; step-son, Kirk (Vicki) Frame of Clarkson; five grandchildren: Nicholas (Jessica) and Christopher Mills; Hannah, Simone and Andreas Frame; five great-grandchildren: Hayden, Brennen, Noah, Leila and Faith; her sister, Penny (Buryl ‘Butch’) Smith of Palmer; her brother, William ‘Bill’ (Patricia ‘Mickey’) Nicholas of Marquette, brothers-in-law: William (Barbara), George, Edward, and Daniel (Kathy) Frame; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Frame in 2007; and her step-son, Kenneth Frame.

A Celebration of Paulette’s Life and luncheon will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 28th at the Richmond Township Fire Hall in Palmer with Rev. Douglas Norquist officiating.
