Condolence From: Mary Chevrette
Condolence: So sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a special lady, very funny. I have a lot of fond childhood memories spending time at your home. Jill, so sorry I couldn't make it to her memorial. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I'm thinking Jill that your Mom and my Mom are having coffee together right now in heaven talking about what pains in the butts we were as teenagers!

Condolence: I lost my lifelong best friend this week. Judy (Annelin) Dobi took her last labored breath on this earth Monday night.
Our friendship lasted for 75 years. We became friends in Sunday School at Immanuel Lutheran Church before either of us were in kindergarten. That connection grew until we were finally classmates in junior high. Then how we celebrated graduating with the "Class of '56!"
Judy was my maid of honor. We spent great times with our group of young married couples, and then we learned how to raise kids, practically side by side in the Prince St/Lake St area of Negaunee. It was a joy to see our daughters become friends.
We lost husbands. There were ups and downs over the years but we always came back to the strong foundation we had. Our lives took different roads at times. Our friendship remained solid.
We became grandmothers (Judy even a GG), we grew older and we shared ailments.
This year we reached our 8th decade within a few months of each other. Life became harder for us both. There came a time when we just had to realize that with our failing health we could no longer be the strong independent Finnish gals we were for our whole lives. It became time to rely on others.

I love you, friend. Your journey here is over. But I know that we will meet once again, in heaven. After all, isn't that what we learned in Sunday School?

My sincere condolences to you all. Judy was our lunch lady and playground supervisor at Lakeview grade school and ran a tight ship. As I got to know Jill, Judy and I became fast friends. I always enjoyed visiting and talking with Judy over the years and new she was a great person. All one has to do is look at the beautiful family that she raised. My thoughts are with you during this very difficult time. Mom's are the best!
Sincerely,
Mark Trewhella and family.
