Annette Marie Arbelius, 69, of Main St., Negaunee, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, August 30, 2018 at her home.

Annette was born July 27, 1949 in Palmer to Arthur and Elaine (Miljour) Hyttinen, graduated from Negaunee High School, Class of 1967 and was a lifelong area resident. Along with being a devoted mother and grandmother, Annette was employed by the Marquette Commission on Aging.

In her free time, Annette loved spending time camping with friends and family, and fishing. She always said, “you can’t go fishing without ‘Annette’.” She was also a cat lover and enjoyed spending time with her two cats, Black Cat and Big Mama.

Surviving are her three daughters: Jodi Arbelius of Negaunee, Mitt (Chuck) Poole of Negaunee and Cari (Tracy Jalonen) Arbelius of Suomi Location; five grandchildren: Alissa Thomas and Misty Myrick, Jayde and Sierra Croschere and Wyatt Arbelius; three great-grandchildren: Henna, Lilly Ann and Reagan; two brothers, Eddie Hyttinen of Suomi Location and Billy Hyttinen of Palmer; her sister, Judy Gilles of Ann Arbor; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Morgan Mercer in 2011; and her sister, Gloria Littleton.

A Celebration of Annette’s Life and potluck dinner will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 2nd at the Richmond Township Community Club.
