Condolence: Dear Barb, Jack, Gary, Mark, Jeanne & Debbie - My mom sent me a copy of the obituary and I wanted to let you all know how sorry I am for your loss. Growing up next door on Case Street, John was just the little brother who always tagged along with me, Janice, Gary & Mark. I had no idea he had gone on to live such a remarkable life. You must all be very proud of him...obviously he was a person who left the world a better place for having been here. You are all in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Condolence: Dear Barb, Jack & family: Where do I begin? John was like a brother to me! I hope that you find some peace during this tragic time. John was loved by all who knew him, as he was a great person. Hearts are breaking all over the world. Diane & girls: My family has known John all of his life, but not as well as you and your girls, I'm sure. We hope that you find strength to carry on. Better to have loved him and lost him, than to not have loved him at all. It sounds as though you and your girls brought him the joy and completeness he had been searching for. Our prayers are with you.

My thoughts & prayers are with you and all of your family. I shall never forget all the enjoyable times I had shopping in the Foley House and how sweet and wonderful you were to me and all your customers. Take care. "One Day at a Time." LOVE YOU!!

Condolence From: Jim Heston
Condolence: John's generosity had no bounds. The two years I spent at Pepperdine with John are among my best. I lived with John on weekends when we had class and also went to an Oxford program with him in the UK. I have nothing but great memories with him. He was loyal, smart, funny and had an endless passion for life. I always looked forward to what remark John would make about a situation, always. He had the ability to say the one thing that would capture the moment. I'm heartbroken.

Condolence: My condolences to the Perala family as I recently heard of John's tragic death. Although I have not seen John for many years I have many good memories of him as we were in high school together. John's name recently came up at my Mother's funeral where my sister, Nicole, told me she worked with him at Pioneer Surgical. Nicole expressed to me what a wonderful person John was, particularly to her. Please know John and his family are in my prayers.

Condolence From: Janice
Condolence: To the Perala Family-- I am an employee of Gary and although I only met John briefly at our after hours at work, my heart melts and is saddened for your whole family. I have experienced a loss much similar to yours. And the pain never seems to lessen, and nothing anyone will ever say will make things better. However, use the strength you have left inside of you to comfort one another. After reading about John, and seeing the tears that day, I know he was a wonderful and caring man. May you think of his strength as your own, and his love that will carry you through. Remember that he too is watching you from above and hold him near to your heart. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers. With Deepest Sympathy, Janice
